I read that that the variable metal materials for the chest don't work, it's silver and gold on the chest regardless of if you use 2 silver or 2 gold

I did wonder as it just says 2 precious metals and doesn't specify (I just added the two in brackets for any players who didn't know which metals were precious) but that's handy to know, cheers.

What does it take to make the new chest?

Hey, I took a screen but imgur is playing up so I'll just list the items instead ...

2 bars of precious metal (silver/gold)
2 bars of bronze, iron or steel
2 silk cloths
4 bone glue
6 boards
4 blocks.

For that cost I would have expected it to be at least bigger than a cupboard.

IMO 2 bars of gold or silver should count for more than just the appearance of the crate.
With only 8 boards of any quality and you can make a cupboard with 64 units of storage. Hell, even fresh spawns can make them lol

Pls buff the chest size
Or maybe let us store an object inside of it like a garden shed

It's a cupboard that never decays outside and can be put in wagons, carts, and boats for longterm storage. Surely that has some value.

Haven could use some more exorbitantly expensive minor luxuries to give you botters more to buy.

Or have you forgotten your W7 vaults with cupboards full of gold bars, Joco?

Why would gold bars make a thing bigger, they just make it pretty. If you don't want a pretty box then don't make them.
