Well, sending an item only to a mailbox, checking for it to be full, and only one item for a toon for say 6 hours...can be interesting, imho.

2x3 postbox is useless, we can't fit 3x3 gift boxes in it for deliveries.

aww, that is a wonderful idea, i do like that. Maybe they could create a special "mail-box" package or something, that looks like it was wrapped in cardboard paper and string, or some sort of mail envelope. Just so that the mailbox could keep its size. I feel like the size of it makes sense, tho making it too large to fit a big ass present might be odd.

I was just noticing that as its a strange thing because a mailbox is perfect for village setups during say xmas to give presents, so 3x3 or 4x3 would be much better.

So either make postbox bigger or make a few different sizes of packages.

Possibly it should be changed to hold an amount of items irrelevant their individual size, like with belts?

IMHO, I would rather like world quality ticks, rather than personal ones.

Let's say you've got a field and may harvest it every 2 days as normal. But they get an automatic quality tick every Wednesday and Sunday (if the crops were harvested and re-planted within the last 5 days). You do not have to farm daily, only once in 5 days then. Something along this line or working similarly would be nice.

Or instead of making it random, just add a number of days you need to wait for the crop to be perfect, and scale it down when you wait too long. This will make bots meaningless for farm quality spiralling, and you only need to log in once a day at any time you want. We all know timing in cancerous silk/steel making, is the worst mechanic there is in haven, and requires player to log in at morning and evening. Some of us are working hard to support our life and sometimes the game.

Day 0:
Quality +0

Day 1:
Quality +1

Day 2:
Quality +2

Day 3:
Quality +3

Day 4:
Quality +1

Day 5:
Quality -2

Day 6:
Quality -5

Day 7:
Quality -10

So casual players who, for example, only get around to farming during the weekend only get a massive reduction in crop quality no matter how often they try?

However, I do think the idea is interesting. Rather than having it being a punishment mechanic, you could just have a higher range of possible quality increase when harvesting at the optimal time, and just the normal quality chances if you harvest it immediately or after two weeks.
