Sodomy is never the answer, Coles.

Possibly he did this beforehand so you're off with your assertion of what he's doing...

But honestly, I did expect this the moment I saw the picture in the OP.

ctopolon4 wrote:wat the point of the lockpicking if u cant open gates and steal from chest (visiter debuff)
and at raid its more easy to destroy house\chest to get contents (only if u need that chest unscathed => lockpick)

only reason isee: do inside(intrusion), robbery village members

So basically what you want to do is steal all the Chests then lockpick them at your own base, while you might aswell bash all the cupboards.

The functionality of locks is mostly limited to restricting access for people with permissions without having to checkerboard pclaims... Hence why I asked if crime scents were left by lockpicking.

There is also the early world dynamic, and locks raise some interesting possibilities in that regard...

By the by: Due to the vagaries of life there will be no patch next week. Aiming for the week thereafter.

Uh, oh, yeah. Unrealistic territory - we don't want stuff like Trolls, Beaver King, Magic, Teleportation etc. in game, let it be as realistic as it is! Oh, wait...

I'd like to be able to spay female animals anyway tbh

You don't get bollocks when butchering non-castrated animals. This is unacceptable.
The most actively maintained Haven and Hearth Wiki (Not guaranteed to be up-to-date with all w14 changes.)

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Tells you how to try and escape, and make it less likely to die when caught.)

So now we can eat bollocks along with our creamy cocks?

10/10 update. It would be 11/10 if you could castrate other players.

That is so. Less than optimal, perhaps, but we obviously didn't want to make gates pickable.

That being said, you may want to install steel locks to be future-proof. ¦]

Please don't do this. Requiring steel for basic base security was hell for hermits back in w5-w7. I don't want to go back to the era where people with high enough stats could trivially undo your defenses unless you plan your life around H&H for a while to get your hands on steel. (Nowadays we fortunately have proper trading, but that can't be relied on early in the world either.)

When you castrate animals you receive a "Bollock" of the relevant type, which can be roasted or used in meat recipes.

ITT Jorb tells the entire playerbase to eat a dick.

Castration doesn't involve removing the dick. Jorb is telling you to suck his balls.

I think this is a case where gameplay should trump realism. Being able to spay animals in both genders would be helpful for trade (as people can sell high-quality animals without them being used for breeding other high quality animals, reducing demand for their high quality animals and possibly allowing the buyer to compete with the seller). Apparently it's also convenient for raising animal quality by preventing lower quality livestock from breeding.

Jalpha wrote:Nutting animals is for better tasting meat and the only animal which doesn't get nutted are pigs, because they are slaughtered before they reach sexual maturity.

Actually, pigs are often castrated as well. It's actually a controversial subject in animal welfare in certain regions including the Netherlands as this is often (usually?) done without anesthetic.

I don't see what everyone is worried about with lock picking. You can't pick gates, so as long as you have any lock on a palisade you'll be fine.
