Reyajh wrote:Realistically, it could likely have fragmented chunks that broke off of it that could possibly hit players who would survive, and still have a large chunk that lands somewhere nearby... And then there could be the secondary impact explosion throwing out many small fragments of the meteorite itself. I like the idea of one big rock that everyone is fighting over, but I think it would draw more people to the area if they know they may not have to be at the exact spot to still possibly get something... :P

+1 to this. Small chunks scattered in the area would be fun to find. It will attract even more alts people, than fighting for the jackpot.

Fun fact: apparently, at one point during Legacy, you could fish in caves (gaining regular fish) but it was patched out and someone jokingly made a post about them and their cave-dwelling friends being forced to move out or "mutate." These days you could survive as complete cave-dweller, especially with Cave Hermit Credo or if allowed to trade for firewood from surface and not just rely on towercaps. However aside from Roleplay, there's little reason to do it. Not that there really needs to be.

I hate to say this idea pleases me.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
