Some of them have a little bit of honey in it! WORTH THE TIME. WORTH THE EFFORT. Doesn't worth a red from stings arse. And I have equip with stats (not thousands tho), I can't imagine how it is even possible to raid 'em as a normal, fair character.

Some have larger colonies than other. They also regenerate over time, so there are gains to be had from being quick.

As mentioned in the OP, they are meant for bootstrapping beekeeping in the future, so it's not the intention that they be completely trivial to defeat.

or change the requirements for making wax to 2, not 5!

They spawn TOO fast, even standing with face stumped into the tree, with high tier loot and ignoring defences lose you can't be fast enough. And yes, some hives don't have bees at all so it's bassically a free loot. Random is such a random.
