what do people think about building multiple story buildings like towers underground?

now that cave life is nerft with cupboard decay seemingly unavoidable unless inside buildings, maybe prevent huge buildings underground also.

Welcome to the aggravating world of Murphy's Law... "whatever can go wrong will go wrong!"
Murphy's Law taps into our tendency to dwell on the negative and overlook the positive...
It seems to poke fun at us for being such hotheads, and it uses the mathematical rules of probability to support itself.

I think it's a bit strange. 1 story buildings make sense but more then that seems like every cavern in HH is like Moria..

I don't know about all that. Have you seen the size of some of the natural underground caverns? Thousands of cubic meters, tens of thousands even. I'm not sure about fitting a tower in them, or a windmill for that matter, but sure, you should be able to fit anything else in there.

Is it some sort of ancient religious text that prevents pure cave hermits from building houses?

I really think these should be removed... It always annoyed me to see towers and such underground. Maybe let them happen in tiles that are part of natural caverns but not outside of that?
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
