If not bots, then what would cause such a long timeout that the server thinks it has crashed even though it hasn’t?

I mean the two staple options here are shitty bots or an intentional DDoS for exploit/duping. But it's too consistent for option 2. That said it's entirely possible some addition is doing it, but he didn't seem to think he made any changes of that nature and nothing from a gamer's point of view suggests there is either.

Whichever really, Loftar has the metrics, gl!

I wonder if "Wednesday at latest" actually means "Thursday night"

Hopefully it doesn't take that long at "Wednesday at latest" to last till "Thursday night" which would mean up to friday morning ;)

eventhough the games are completely Rimworld had an issue with paws causing massive lag if they built themselves into a corner. the AI would freak out trying to path a million diffrent way but getting nowhere. So yeah i could see someones bot having an issue or making calls to the server to harvest a resource to fast.

If that's the case I would nominate all them cave moths trying to navigate around those sticky cave walls.

Considering some of the lag spikes I've seen during low pop (600s, sub) out of no where I'd imagine it's someone doing something intentionally for some reason.

I do not think cave moths navigate at all and instead just move randomly.

No, there is a pattern in their movement. It's all part of the conspiracy!

Neither is very likely, since they would mainly cause CPU load rather than I/O load.
