Same here, reminds me w6
Im planting seeds, its lags at the begining of line, than lags for 3 seconds, than insta-plant whole line. So i conclude server itself is ok, probably something wrong with output message buffering.

3 seconds of lag where you can't move and everything stops every 20-40 seconds

Sad to say this might actually be worse than before, and boating is going to be awful with this

The longer lag spikes are getting more and more often. Pretty sure server is melting.

Maybe something is wrong with configuration of the server.
New, more powerful server shouldnt make the lag worse, right?

Right now it's because I'm doing a backup. Though I'm not sure why that should justify the resulting lag.

The backup is done now, so things should be back to how they were prior to that.

It did give me some clues as to what might be causing these new kinds of lag spikes, however. I'm not at all sure what the root cause is yet, but one of the SSDs is behaving "weridly". Observing it, it seems to just lock up for several seconds every now and then, not processing any I/O requests. I'm not sure what that means yet, though. It looks and sounds like a hardware issue, but that explanation also seems extremely naïve and kind of unlikely. Further investigation is necessary.

If it's a Intel SSD, it is common with them, they have a cache problem, if you can choose at the datacenter what SSD to pick, go for SAMSUNG
