Wouldn't mind roaming quest givers, but that would imply giving them more permanence. They may get a use someday, but I'm not in any rush.

How so? Shouldn't it be possible to spread over the oceans?

Perhaps, but not in so arbitrary a manner. I was hoping to see a 'Colony Stone' that is something like the coronation stone and requires a significant amount of resources to create. Or a way to ally and share resources through something like the Fiefdom suggestion I made.

This, to my mind, is much like the Pipeweed update. "Oh look the world will be large and separated... Except it won't."

Travel Weariness has been removed through the application of Pipeweed, and now meaningful realm expansion barriers have been removed by 'Build this, and build another one 48 hours later'.

The ocean is no longer a great impenetrable barrier between locations.

Now it's just water.

Cost to build should scale based off distance from the coronation stone. Same for border cairns!

What if you were able to catch up to them and you could cut them down and the give a special type of wood
quest givers
make them a moving localized resource

This.

And for village banners.

any area across ocean should be so draining that only the most prosperous kingdoms would be able to afford it and only at a small scale for like claiming a tree or stone for bonuses

I have not been to sea yet, but are there kraken? That would be super cool if like when you are crossing the sea depths you should make sure you have a full crew or some strong people because a kraken could over take your boat and kill you all. So you have to fight it. Rare event.

That is laughably inexpensive. No special resources required? Maybe they should require some kind of new ocean-based natural resource, or be another sink point for Rock Crystals, or SOMETHING at least.
