So we can still use it to destroy our own walls, but not the walls of other people?

you can use it others walls too, but is it an efficient way when someone can just dismantle it in front of you?

Wayyyy too late to fix this guys. This only punishes new realms but does almost nothing to the big realms who have already expanded greatly and saved an assload of resources (X * # of border cairns).

My solution for this would be: give them 2 weeks to build in the missing ingredients into the existing cairns or they vanish.

How am I supposed to destroy my own palisades now? Wtf.
You can't expect everyone to gather these crazy resources just to redesign palisades...

You can use it against others, too, but since it's still normally hand-bashable, it will be worse for doing so, especially as we otherwise make hand-bashing of the other siege machines harder.

makes the whole update pointless

We wanted to add the other mechanics first so that they can be somewhat tested before we started tightening the thumb-screws on the defenders.

So if siege engines eventually become unbashable, is there no point to defenders sallying out, or really fighting at all (unless the walls actually fall down)? Is there no use for actual combat in a siege?

We're not entirely sure on where to go with it. We want to keep some incentive to go out and attack the machines.

Could we possibly arrange to have the wrecking ball be usable from within the village rights? for example, when replacing a palisade with a brick wall...
