Q37 Smoker, Q10 Hazel Blocks

Quick Summary of Hazel:
  • Adds Agility to Beaver
  • Adds Perception to Bat
  • Adds Will to Wolverine
  • Adds Intelligence to Venison
  • Adds Agility to Wild Pork
  • Reduces Hunger on Rabbit
  • Reduces Hunger on Squirrel

Need to add smoked meat sandwiches or brisket options.

Also, consider allowing spices to be added to meat before or after smoking. Peppercorn steaks are certainly a thing.

Perhaps consider allowing smoked meats to be used in certain meat dishes as a variable ingredient.

cool concept but very underwhelming as it currently is.

as others have said please consider the following:
  • brine/spice optional prep
  • better FEP output in general, a lot of the output of this is just trash
  • other inputs: fish, bird, cheese, sausage, mushrooms, vegetables, fruits, nuts, spices, salt
  • specific recipes to be smoked e.g. 1 pork + 1 fat cut = 1 bacon
  • allow some recipes like fishwraps & etc to be smoked as well as pitbaked
  • use smoked ingredients as inputs either in specific recipes (recipe requires or allows smoked ingredient) or general recipes (smoked x substitutes as either raw or roast x)

if it doesn't give like 5 fep per hunger at q40 then its not really worth that much attention I think!

otherwise I'd rather do some kebab meat or boar baloney because they do not require the headache of preparing the wood and can be made almost immediately

Q44 Smoker, Q10 Apple or Q10 Cherry or Roasted

Boards are not available, only blocks. I saw how much fuel I had left and I think I'm good with 8.
Individual meat and wood results are different... Boost to FEP, Hunger reduction, additional FEP, etc...
There seems to be the best wood depending on the meat.
Basically, it's not much different from grilled meat, so it's going to be similar to dried fish.

Somehow I totally missed this, and I've still been using an unloaded rowboat in my snekkja to hunt animals, and then eating the meat regularly like some kind of smoke-shedless CHUMP!

well, since the hype train is somehow gone, I wanna make some summary:
smoked meat - is another noone-asked and noone-would-care mechanic, useful only for "we're testing fuel influence on prepared food and also wanted to fuck up all the food-services players have made as hard as we could". cool.
BUT. no one noticed the "cost in tooltip" option. most of the those who noticed thinks like "meh, useful, but not a gamebreaker".
but I personally think that's one of those changes, where "you never get thx for it until it goes away" and that's why I wanna say big thx to jorb for this change. that's a really nice and creative touch. thx

I've asked for this tooltip at wizards' tower years ago, but gee, thanks, now it's here. Thanks, I guess, that will be useful for players who haven't memorized the whole game inventory yet XD

More seriously, things that noone objects to (i.e. beneficial changes) don't get discussed much, that means this one is a good one. Keep up the good work.
