One, I'm afraid. Because Haven Time is 3.29 times faster, a moment 1 RT year later would be 3 full HT years and 0.29 into the next year, and 0.29 is more than 1/4.

One way to make it a bit better without changing the time coefficient is to make seasons to have different lengths in different parts of the world, so somewhere winter could be even longer than 1/4 of a year (I wouldn't object to summer being more than 1/2 somewhere else). This way we can have HT winter at 2, or maybe even 3 consecutive RT NYs. Extreme north can even have eternal winter, while extreme south can have... eternal winter too? Though some winter-specific advantages would be needed so this regions wouldn't get totally unpopular and unpopulated.

Seems to me your math and game knowledge are not up to the job. There are at least 6 full game years in a real year, and that should have been the easy part.

... (1RY = 6.675958333 GY)

Well, I forgot that the game year consists of 180 days, not 365. So there should be 3.29*(365/180)=6.67 HT years in a RT year, the offset is still too big.

How do you get "at least 11 full years"?

That was older version, was stuck on wrong HY day count.

---

365.25÷180×3,29=6.675958333 (GY in one RY)

0.675958333×180=121.67249994 (GD's offset)

121 > 15(winter) = no consecutive RY's with winter at same date.

Were it 170, such comparison with 15 would not help. 170 > 15, yet two consecutive winters would be possible in this case.

Seems the plans to allow these items to also function as wall decorations did not make it. (or it was canned)
---
Seems devs added something else too, with those two decoration. Not sure about the finer details yet.(probably something unrelated to christmas stuff)

I guess it depends on how much you do or don't suck at mental arithmetic. ^^

Why do we have to click 9-12 times per smelter in the default client anyways? As MagicManICT pointed out, it's much more enjoyable if you can just fill smelters with a click per smelter rather than gradually developing RSI to smelt your ore. Could we perhaps get some way to craft 9/12 pieces of ore into a single item (ideally stockpilable) to make this less tedious?

I appreciate your comments (about the new world shit too). Didn't realize that was a thing in amber. Usually I just use a combination of inventory increasers to get 1 line to 9 then take the number of lines I need, to reduce the tedium of actually counting it out however many times.

When I need exactly X of an item, I calculate where the last item would be in my inventory and place an item after that last spot, then just scroll to fill my inventory up to that spot.

There's a bazillion games releasing around this time, and you can't really play H&H and other games at the same time. I imagine player dropoff would be much quicker than usual. I know I'd have to think twice about committing to playing H&H again if a new world were to start right now, and I've played every world start since w6.

loftar wrote:There's that, but I'd also think (or hope, at least) that most players also would prefer to be with their families on Christmas instead of in game. :)

Unfortunately, a large part of the world is having it worse than Sweden with the COVID-19 pandemic. I haven't seen my family in five months and for the first time in my life I won't be celebrating Christmas with them :(

In the the default client, could we get an option to increase our zoom speed?
