are the "thingwalls" placed random or are they laid out in a grid formation

Purely random. Found 2 that were a grid apart.

Game looks fun so far. Great job! :D
Not sure if I do enjoy close-range mass spawns and continents.

@Maze, hello there!
We talked about your village yesterday and moved a bit further to establish a camp.
How it is going for you?

Haven't discovered leather yet so no, but that sounds intriguing.

If you installed Java, then normally all you need to do is run the Jar file. If your system doesn't understand that it's supposed to be associated with Java, then something probably went wrong with the Java installation, but you could probably just use the "Open WIth..." dialog to choose to run it with Java (assuming that you're using Windows).

Try the Java JDK 11, 64 bits version : https://www.oracle.com/ca-en/java/techn ... loads.html You'll need an oracle account but that's a minor inconvenience.
