New Implementations
-----------------------
- Added/Re-added drunkenness. When consuming alchoholic beverages, you now get a tiered buff, much like you did in Legacy Haven. The buff progresses in stages from "A Glass With A Friend" to "A Glass to Keep the Cold Out" to, "A Glass Too Much" to "The Summit Attained". The various stages have varying effects, both positive and negative. The positive effects scale with the quality of the alchohol consumed. The negative effects are percentages of whatever values they affect. Also, the higher your constitution, the more alchohol you can drink. If you keep drinking beyond "The Summit Attained", that will translate into Soft HP damage. The buff wears off after 6 ingame hours. Also added a visual effect similar to those from smoking opium or hemp. The buff names were inspired by this old picture.
- Added "Still", an object to distill liquids. Fill up with the liquid to be distilled, light up, and withdraw the destillate.
- Added "Brandy", spirit made by distilling "Wine" in a "Still". Has no preferred drinking vessel for now, at least.
Key Fixes
-----------------------
- Fixed a problem with the pursuit logic introduced a while back, potentially causing players to randomly come out of range of their pursued target.
- Added some client code in support for future improvements to tooltips. Custom client makers should merge these changes to avoid breaking in future updates.
Small Fixes
-----------------------
- "Wood Strawberry" is now a "Berry", rather than a "Fruit".
- You no longer get leeches when mounted in Swamps or other wetlands.
- Added an error message when trying to furl a ship sail without the key to the ship.
- Redrew direction indicators for quest givers, underground quest givers, and challenges, in higher resolution, to better support UI scaling.
- May have fixed a small problem with the extended tooltips in the action menu sometimes "stuttering".
- Catapults can now, with a 24 hour charge, destroy all boats and ships, unlike previously, when they could only destroy Knarrs.
As always, if you liked what we did here: Support the patch.
Today's Patch Item, for the fair price of $9, is the "Chopstick Wizard".
Store Description wrote:$9 Chopsticks at the ready, animated by some mystical force, to catch even the tiniest morsel mid flight.
All Gold subscribers have been awarded the "Chopstick Wizard", free of charge.
In the Pipe
-----------------------
- With this pach we'll be signing off for some summer R'n'R. Our work on bigger things will continue in some capacity, but we will not be patching for the next 2-3 weeks. Make sure you all get some sun as well.
- Again urging any custom client maker who wishes to stay relevant to get with the new rendering times. Support for the old resources will be dropped at some point.
- Our primary development direction is toward object-controlled-objects.
