wouldn´t the simplest solution be to just have an flower option for knocked out/dead players to throw them overbord? at least for the driver, or people on board

in the worst case , its less punishing than current, dosnt require an "drop on shore" logic, fixes the alt problem, while still requiring criminal action to get people out of the boat. and it elliminates the threat from accidentally drowning from getting knocked out by animals. or passengers being sniped off by players.

The simplest solution would be to remove pvp because it is broken, unfun, exploitable, gatekept by the elite, lazily designed and out of date, and only used by 1% of the population.

...I enjoy PVP, but the reality is PK.
The reason is because we are a small faction (3-4 players) and play time is short.
I think PVP itself is fun. Thrills, encounters, etc...
I can agree with your opinion as well because you can't beat the best of the best.
But I don't think removing PVP is the way to go right now, because suddenly erasing PVP would cause all sorts of problems.

PVP is intended to act as a dispute resolution system, I understand this.

The problem is, if any of the main pvping sprucecap killers decided to change their tactics to simple trolling the pvp system would be useless as a tool to stop them.

PVP is not a tool in the toolbelt of anybody but faction-level minmaxers. The amount of times it has be successfully utilized by anybody else to genuinely solve a dispute and/or stop trolling/griefing is negligible if not zero. So if removing PVP caused some players to switch over to "trolling in other directions" it would literally make NO difference. It would not be possible for 99% of the playerbase to kill or even deter those people with PVP anyways.

your normal problem is. that even if you are running semicompetetive clientsetups. and have combat experience. and know how too run. and have somewhat nongarbage gear. you´r probbably the only guy in your village that is this prepared. and all in all your village is probbably 3-10 man big, while the guy trying too raid you can call their 19 friends for backup if an attack goes south. on the other side. just the running part, makes you so much more annoying too kill that it prob isnt worth anybodys time for your shitty gear. and you are already stronger than 80% of the playerbase that just farms for 2 months and then quits first winter. so you dont need too fear any scrubs, they fear you.

seriously. you keep talking shit about "THE 1%"(and that is an real to god problem this game faces) . but your tirades proove that you dont even managed too put in the 2 houres of work to elevate yourself intoo the top 20%

I am speaking for the 99%, a veritable martyr for those whose voices are overshadowed by the pvp elite and the novella writing troglodytes.

My DMs are filled with people thanking me for using my agency as a known veteran of this game to publicly speak out against the horrible state of pvp and combat in general.

The only fools who would dare to argue my points are those who ARE the selfish 1% or live ignorantly under their wing, in the faction villages with private clients and bots.

Even most of the 1% are agreeing with me. You are the minuscule opposition who selfishly want the entire game to stay the same so you can thrive with your private game knowledge and gated mechanics. It's sad to see, but when jorb and loftar are finally ready to address the atrocity and barbarity that is haven pvp, and make it accessible and enjoyable to the 99%, you will be left in the dust.
