Hardware pricing is rrrridicolous. Looking at you, nvidia.

I can say, Hetzner as a hoster is very, very reliable and quick to boot. I have my servers hosted there since the start of my IT journey back in 2005.
Never had issues, very cooperative, good hardware. I hope the best for that move and pray to the gods of preservation, that we don't get a jumpstart on W16 xD

What's wrong with it? AMD is a giant in server grade hardware now, their chips are much better than intel for this use case. But with that said, Ryzen 7 7700 isn't exactly "Server grade hardware". But it's still a great chip. Intel isn't the king anymore for consumer PC's.

In this case, it actually kind of is. One of the main reasons I chose it was because it supports ECC memory, unlike Intel chips.

Yup, these CPUs are really good for that purpose considering they are still just consumer grade products. I just said that not to confuse anyone because in my post I was praising AMD for being the clear king of server-grade hardware, but within the consumer market intel is still fairly strong so I just wanted to make that distinction. But yes, in this use case there is no doubt ECC is a game changer.
