Check Enders thread. Download the client, download updater, follow the instructions.

I've checked that thread, downloaded the client, and downloaded the updater. But there really are no instructions. In the thread he states where you can get the client/updater, the features of his client, and then he has a small section that says TROUBLESHOOTING. Which contains the below.

start "FULL PATH TO JAVAW" -Djava.library.path="PATH TO GAME FOLDER" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

Ok, I've located my javaw and set my path in the run batch file as he says. But where the fuck is the game folder? I've apparently "installed the haven and hearth client" from the PAQ page...but I don't have a game folder anywhere.

Where you have unpacked the archive to?

Small how-to for you.
1. Download the client archive.Choose appropriate version from archive, 32-bit or 64 one. Extract it anywhere you wish. Remember where you have extracted it.
2. Take out of archive UPDATER. Extract it to where you have extracted your client. After that your folder should look like that



3. Edit run bat. Insert as [full path to javaw] your path to javaw, as [path to game folder] your path to game folder from (1)
Example, my run bat:
.\updater\HnH_updater.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res
I am a Win7 user, so this works for me just fine.

I dont even get an error window. all I get is the main page on gilbertus or enders but no chars to select and no create char button. the defualt client just crashes out right...

I advise here. When you try to attack ants, they'll kill you. The client do not crash definiitly like when you try to get chickens. Simply you're freezed and if you don't have so much hp, when you relogg you'll be already stunned but ants dont stop hitting you, until you die.

This is mostly for noobs or alts or who have few hp at that moment.

Vanilla client gone haywire, downloaded update for Ender: Game runs fine.

Picks up a stray bunny, game freezes. Restart client. Game runs fine, bunny is in inventory.

Not sure what causes the freeze.

When initiating a fight with sling, client freeze.
And yes, idem for bunnies/chicken capture.
