Checking: Is that default/vanilla client a local installed version, or do you (also) mean the web-started one.

No luck yet here on getting the web-start client to connect (login).
- local installed clients (all, including the default/vanilla one) connect just fine.
- Java 7.45

Hi, I'm not sure if this has already been talked about but every time I attempt to log in (Default Client), I get the message- 'Connection Refused: Connect'.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?

Please let me know if this is in the wrong place by the way, I'm not particularly fond of forums and ergo not very up to date on the involved etiquette.

I am also having exact same issue, I think there's a thread on it considering my thread was moved.
Edit: I read the thread you might be able to fix it by downloading Ender's client, there's a really really good youtube video that has code to copy to modify client for it to run properly. The video is about one month old and details how to download the ender's client and the graphic upgrade. You can log in using Ender's which is the same game and is safe. I also believe you *could* uninstall java and use a lower version. Forum says modify security settings but that didn't work for me, Ender's did. My issue is resolved once I used Ender's. I hope this helped you and any others with issues connecting too.

It's getting weird...

Did different tests with default client (autohaven.jnlp and haven.jnlp) both give connection refused for me now too...(Security at Medium not working aswell)
(All Seatribe certificates stored in OS CA) - Salem.jnlp the same as above ...

It seems Oracle has done something strange among the latest Java updates, and I haven't yet quite figured out just what. Until I manage to do, I can only suggest using an older Java version instead.

If you want to run the default client:

Uninstall Java,
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/uninstall_java.xml

clear Java Cache
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml

and do a Java Rollback:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 40-oth-JPR

scroll down to:
Java SE Runtime Environment 7u40

for Windows OS:
32 Bit (x86) jre-7u40-windows-i586.exe
64 Bit (x64) jre-7u40-windows-x64.exe

Disable automatic updates in Java Control Panel !

I am using the vanilla client and once i try to log in it gives me this message "Connection Refused: connect" i have tried logging in multiple times since yesterday. I decided to get the enders client and i got the same problem, I tried the CClauncher Enders client fix but to no avail, it failed again. Is there a fix or are the authentication servers still down? because it says people are playing and the servers are up. Also i would prefer a fix for the vanilla client please.

i would suggest sticking with enders as the default client lacks allot of things that you need. how ever i don't have a fix to the problem maybe read some of the other peoples posts and you might find a fix. cheers

i have looked for fixes but none of them have worked, my friend is also having the same issue. My other friend is able to log in fine though
