Not sure...

Where to put this exactly, but as of the crashes recently the Bone Glue on a battering ram of ours got delayed, it then took an additional 3 hours or so to dry and by then the enemies found out and attacked us, killing us all, it was really stupid however, that if the crash hadn't happened, the Bone Glue would have dried on time, the battering ram used, us got in, and then out, we wouldn't have died, and all would be well, now we have to completely move all of our stuff because the keys were on my body, reposition ourselves, and start all over >.>

First time posting on the forums, and I don't really know if someone can refund this or whatever, some kind of fix, but any help would be appreciated.

I'm guessing if you need a vouch to this I should tell you the names, but me (Neon the One), Knorty, and Keoka all died from the delayed ram project.

I am Keoka, and it went like this.

We had finished our Battering ram and were waiting for the bone glue to dry at roughly 6:30PM Standard Pacific time, I believe is my timezone.

We, WOULD HAVE finished, this was about a few days ago when the server crashed like 3 or 4 times and was down togethor for quite a few hours.

Our leader told us "It doesn't matter, the bone glue doesn't proceed to dry if the world is offline."

So, we decided to go to the battering ram, and wait. It was obviously delayed quite some time as it was about 10:00PM my standard pacific time when a Russian ran out of their base and slaughtered us.

This would never have happened, had the server not crashed. We have a thread of a different game we play which is dedicated to Haven and Hearth, and if you would like me to direct you there, I will be more than happy too assuming it leads towards the refund of at least our LP.

My character who died in this was Keoka. I now play Keoka the Second. You can check this in my profile.

His Forum name is green. I don't really think a more elaborate answer is neccesary, however yes an explanation would be nice. And I wouldn't like to see the "If we refunded you, we'd have to refund everybody" crap, because that's a lie. We're the one's who're posting the issue, not them.

Also, as Neon said, it was "Neon the One, Knorty and Keoka" who all died. Players; Drahkir, Daft Spy, Mihkels, Charlotte II can all vouch. And I can post you our village thread on our other website.

I answered the question in full though, I don't see the problem? The answer is no. This is a perma death game and that you died is part of the game.
Hey, cool, lagg/server crashes/minor bugs got you killed, that's spiffy. Welcome to the alpha release of a game.

Edit: Fairness is a part of it, of course. I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with things but it was a legitimate conflict and unintentional variables are part of life. I hope you're able to pick yourself up and wish you the best of luck.

The website he's speaking of is a perma death as well, i'm familiar with it and won't bitch about it, but the fact that it's legit to die from a time lapse in all of the Hearthlands that completely renders glue to dry slower than usual and cause a mass-slaughter with time-traveling Russians is odd. Plus the game being an Alpha release doesn't automatically apply the fact you can't help anyone in-game. But sure, say the glue had a....uhm, the air was too hot and it didn't dry fast enough, i'll deal.

As stated before I now play "Keoka the Second". I just hear it might be plausible to get a refund on at LEAST our old LP due to the server crashing delaying what should've been done 6 hours before we were doing it. And if, the server didn't crash, we wouldn't of died because the Russians were all asleep at said time.

I'm not bitching, or complaining, I just thought there was a plausible way to get a refund due to the circumstances. So please do not give me the death is a part of life speech. I know the drill.

Not sure who told you that but a refund is without precedent. I'll spare you any speeches.

No refunds, not ever. Even if the game were in development right now (which it is not) the devs don't want to waste the little time they have available on policing the game, or refunding players and having to judge some bogus stories (people vouching for you is worth exactly nothing). Just dust yourself off and move on, or well you know...don't.
