Feasting on Undiscovered Food

I had my miner sit down to feast like normal and tried to eat a sausage that she had not discovered. It went through the normal cycle and nothing happened. Now I know if you have not discovered items you can make them or you cant make the food. But does this apply to already made food? If not is this a bug? I was curious because you really should be able to eat a piece of food regardless of knowing how to make it.

No. I just finished mining and was was trying to fill up.

must be a glitch, i eat all food on brand new alts with nothing discovered or any skills..

I will test it again later to be sure then. I did click the food several times while feasting though.

you were sitting down, you clicked feast, a fork icon popped up, you clicked the food , waiting 30 seconds(because the server is lagging bad right now)

it shouldnt matter if you discovered the food. most of my town dont cook, they still eat a lot of food! and i'm damn sure msot havent discovered the food being made for them. maybe get off the table and try sitting down again. or relogging. i'm have instances where i couldnt put milk into a barrel event hough it was empty, and when i relog its fine. or farm areas where ive wanted to plant and plowed many times and it wont let me plant on it, until i relog. probably jsut a weird glitch

I think my issues is with one specific food. Wonderful Wilderness Wurst. All the other seem to work.

bashed a place today and ate WWW's with two different characters, neither of whom have the discovery. Was out of a cupboard though....
