Can't login

I'm on Windows Vista. I can run the game fine and get to the character selection screen, but when I click Hearth Fire or Where I Last Logged Out, it just doesn't do anything. It's as if it's unresponsive or something. Really getting on my nerves. My laptop can run H&H fine, but it's crappy and lags a lot. I wanna play it on my nice pc...

Suffering from this as well, I can't login with the original client, and Pacho's client crashes whenever I open my inventory.

You can't even log in by your Hearth Fire? That shouldn't even be possible. Does the client hang or something? After you click to log in by your Hearth Fire and nothing happens, can you still e.g. close the character window (the one with the login location buttons in it, that is)? Do the buttons appear visually to be depressed when you click on them?

The client hangs as soon as I click a login option, I get stuck at the loading screen, and stay stuck there for at least 10 minutes before I just close the goddamn client.

I think Pacho's client has a problem with rendering rustroot extract.

I know, but since I can't login with the main client, I can't remove it, meaning I can't access my inventory, meaning I can't build a boat to get off this goddamn island since hfire logins fucked up my travel weariness.

Basically, I can't play at all.

didn't pacho update his client with a fix for the rustroot? have you got the latest version?

Pacho's newer clients need Java 1.6, Vista runs 1.6 like an obese chain smoker with one leg.
