MAC 10.9.5 Java 8 User in dire straights! HELP!

I've read so many great things about this game and would really love to play it. HOWEVER, when I boot this bad boy up from the web page or from the shortcut on my desktop, I get nothing but a white screen with audio only (no error messages present to note). SO disappointing! I've searched the existing forums for a solution to no avail, and have even called Apple to try and resolve my issue with, of course, no positive result. (Thanks mindless Apple Customer Service.) This is directed primarily towards the devs, but if anyone has a viable fix or workable solution to help me troubleshoot this, I'd be most grateful. Thanks for reading, and here's to hoping someone can help me get this worked out.

*Should also add that I have also tried running Java 7 with no success.*

The drivers on your graphics card may be outdated. This issue has come up many times and that is usually the reason.

Additionally, if you can't get the normal client to run, try Ender's modified client viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575
You should use Ender's client anyway as the rest of the community does (or at least some custom client), but I won't tell you how to live your life .

EDIT: And btw, there is a search function on this forum that can help you. Try searching the bug forum for "white screen", there are many threads about it.

*UPDATE* - I'm realizing that this is going to take some savvy on my part and I'm going to have to do some extra-curricular work to do this. I'll try to post my progress in hopes of helping others with the same issues that I've got after I have a full diagnostic of my issues. Thanks again for the advice Ninijutsu and Borka.

What is Apoc Lite? I'm unfamiliar.

Apoc Lite is one in a long list of custom clients that can be used for this game. Its a good start, try to get Apoc Lite to start, screw the vanilla client.

You seem like a cool dude and all, so I hate to say it to you but, FUCK APPLE. Get a real mans' computer (anything but shitty CRapple).
