Authority/claim bug???

Postby RiverPhoenix » Sun Jul 05, 2009 1:17 pm

Hello,

I logged in today and the new village claim stuff has meant that I can't do anything in Laketown any more - I'm assuming that as I've not been informed that I am no longer a citizen of Laketown - I am double checking this just now.

I did notice that my "authority" bar disappeared earlier this week and thought that was odd and meant to file a bug report - might it be associated with me getting more skills? I did get the ranger skill recently I think - I don't have the lawspeaker skill though (not that I really need it).

It's just that I'm really not able to fight anything much as I'm almost entirely skilled towards farming and so without a village to work in/be a part of I'm pretty much completely up a creak without a paddle.

I can provide more detail if you can tell me what area might have caused this (though I'm afraid I can't remember exactly everything I did in the last week without a hint at what I'm looking for.

You certainly are not exiled that's for sure. I'll try to add you next time i see you.

This is a shame since it's not likely I'll be on for long as I can't do anything when I am on (sitting around waiting to happen upon someone to talk to in what is quite a quiet world is a little dull) - it's also going to cause me grief as I can't eat at the moment (hmmm... maybe I can fish? Might have to go far into the lake to do so though)... is there a time we might be able to meet (synching to GMT?)

I'll have to check if I've the LP to buy it...

I'm rather limited in access to a machine that will run the game (and it appears a new release of the client earlier has slowed down loading too so I'm now worried that even the newer machine I have access to will not be able to run it in future *sigh*)

Hello :)

I am now a member of the village again however I was not removed from the village by a player so there is still a bug in there somewhere... the skills I got recently were Valour, Ranging, Lawspeaking (and a couple of combat ones but that was after the problem had presented itself).

I hope this helps,

River :)

It might just be that you happend to hit the "Leave Village" button by mistake, though. Since it doesn't ask for confirmation, it might very well happen accidentally. Of course, the fact that it does not ask for confirmation might be considered a bug. :)

Yeah, I'd consider that a bug along with the ability to stop being lawspeaker to a village without a confirmation :P

(Though you might want to keep an eye out as I'm usually very careful and very, very rarely use the buttons down at the bottom right (too busy farming and use quick keys for the ones of them I need).
