If I CBF getting my strength up high enough to bash down a brick wall I can just get a noob to stand in the doorway then come back with another alt thief when the mark is offline and rob the chump blind.
Alternatively I can use it as a lure to collect a murder scent

The whole idea of griefing is to piss off other people with minimal effort, why should I spend all that time leveling up a fighter and then risk him when I can just fuck over some poor cunt with a noob alt?

Agreed, there should also be something of a "shove"/restrain/move other player mechanic put in place before you allow them to jam doors.

You have no imagination when it comes to abuse.

Stand alt in door, refuse to move. This forces the other player to live with an open door, or to kill you. Collect murder scent on your main, and cream them. Alternatively, just stand there being a dick. When they kill you, bring in a new alt. You can leave their door open indefinitely. Bashing a gate leaves a vandalism scent, so doing it this way means no consequences.

It could be argued that's how it'd work in real life. I wouldn't mind some... less intrusive... means of showing people the door, than a soldier's sword through the belly, though.

1) You get the same result as with tearing down a wall segment, except:
* you do not leave a vandalism scent with a invested char
* the defender cannot easily rebuild

2) Agreed

 I did not see page 2!

Or hey? why not just burn the bodies eh?
i mean, that would solve that problem
completely!! and burning down a wall? I
think we should just burn everything to
the ground, shoot a fire arrow into a
village's crops? they best get a bucket
of water and get that put out or they'll
not be very happy? light someone on fire
and they have to walk into a river or take
damage over time? think about it? FIRE!!
