huh.. we tested it, wont working.. But as you said.. i'll test it again.
And Raiders did some strange Action, they was in village Twice. ( firstly they killed Us, and got our corpses, Second - they , idk why???, bringing back our corpses and placed them right near idol) - THAT MEANS they was with lifted Item, and no run possible when you carrying something. ( maybe im wrong), anyway we know who it was and maybe ask them.... maybe its not bug.
