seems like it happens when your client is trying to obtain the res files from the server. wonder if the res server is in trouble again...

first, try clearing java cache. its one thing ppl always forget to do after reinstalling java.
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml
sometimes re-installing java messes it up and somehow end up with corrupt files. if its the only change you have done and clearing cache doesnt work, try re-clean-installing java too.

and if it doesnt work, try this (with ender)
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=30126
it has all the files you need so that your client does not need to try to access to the server and can skip the process to avoid crashing.

When I had the res problem, it crashed the client rather than freezing.
I however have had problems with items being stuck in the cursor while using a union fork. Though relogging solved the issue.

Try what tonky has proposed, it might work, but it will only work for ender's client, not the default client that you have been using.

What you need to do is unpack the .rar file using winrar,
then using winrar unpack the .jar file into a folder (you will have to create) called custom_res

The custom_res folder, with all of the res files in it should be placed in your ender's client folder, alongside the run.bat file you use to start the client.

wait... try control+left click the cone, just in case? or are you still holding the cone in your hand?
to open your equipment window, press control+E.

the server was restarted several hrs ago, so the res server should be working fine, it must be on your end.
try to remember what else you have done... it is quite possible that your belt file is corrupt after repeating relogging on different chars on the same window. (but that shouldnt be the problem on vanilla, iirc. restarting comp should solve it anyways.)

explain what exactly happens in details, what you can do and what you cannot do in game, and take a screenshot.
list what you have done so far to solve this. (clear java cache, reinstalling java, updating your graphics driver... and so on)

had the problem with default and Ender - so probably not a belt problem

to see if it's res problem you have to create a run.bat for Ender containing the pause argument

i'd say it's a connection problem on your side (could be even crappy routing your provider does)

check whether AntiVirus or Firewall Program is blocking, do a
Code: Select all
tracert moltke.seatribe.se
in CMD window (cmd.exe) to look whether there are timeouts in routing, set portforwarding in router ... if you're connecting by Wlan /WiFi to your router try if you can do with an Ethernet cable
