Aren't you supposed to put in 1 unit of fuel, wait, then light it after waiting?

no the "fuel bug" doesn't work with crucibles - only with kilns, ovens or ore smelters

So what the hell are hermits supposed to do? Not sleep?

The steel requirement in Crossroads already hit hermits hard (I can make tons of wrought if necessary but steel is a nightmare to make solo), but if steel requires even more frequent refueling than it used to it's going to be plain impossible.

Recently restarted again and dreading the steelmaking process, it this turns out to be right I might just go without a bwall entirely this time.

I am a Hermit ;) But i'm with you and other Hermits that 12 hours is a hazzle often...

i got 3 Timers set 6H, 8H, 10 H - mostly i come on and it shows me all timers ran out but mostly it's just a little fuel still burning so i can refill

i'd say my missing quote is 40% misses and 60% successfull steelburning

I wouldn't say steel is a problem for a hermit. I've played about 1-2 months on my fresh alt. Did my village, walls and stuff with my own hands without "helping myself" with goods I got in other locations. And I never built a minehole, I've just collected some flots + pearls and bought steel off :) You can get either bluebell/flotsam or few edels just by going to curio location in 10-15min easily. And steel bar is "only" 20 pts, so you can get 5 of them (gates) for 2 bluebells and a flot (or 2 pearls).

Except if you are hermit and you have a huge base to cover with walls, tons of CRs and everything else. But even then you can solve it by trading bears and other things :)

If someone could make a bot that would automatically refuel logs every 6 hours that would be really good since being a human we all sleep and have stuff to do. If we can keep our computers up overnight and let the bot run that would be grand!
