Either that, or then spend some lovely time trying to catch up to a very scared bear.

Presuming you don't have high enough str/melee and storm of swords.

Using my method they dont run away.
The world I love The tears I drop To be part of The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you
The world I love The trains I hop To be part of The wave can't stop
Come and tell me when it's time to

they do now. the new bear trap is what haba did, trapping the bear so it doesn't run away.

I can confirm that animals are pussies now. I hit a lvl X boar once with bout 50 damage, and it ran away. As far as I know, boars should run, but just if they have like 80~ HP left. This one ran from the very beginning.

As far as the animals can attack you back, there shouldn't have been a change from how it was previously. Are entirely sure?

i can confirm that. it seems somewhat random. had a fox and several boars initiating flight after a single hit, and they were not previously damaged.

Yea, Im sure. It occured just once, but I was pretty startled to have it run away after one shot. It even ran very far, not just a few steps like usually. I had to run after it and shoot it 5-6 more times to kill it (I grabbed some crappy arrows xD), so it was memorable.

wow... i just tried to punch a lvl 1 boar without my str items on... he ran right away. i only have 20 unarmed, he ran after the 2nd punch, took me forever to run after him...

for newbies this is going to be freaking annoying... they aren't gonna be able to kill anything but cows.

Yeah, the animals seem to be running away really early on now and not just running away 2 feet and stopping. Running right the fuck away. I had a bear run away after two hits and never stop running until I simply lost it in the chase in the forest, trying to drink and run at the same time in order to catch up.

If they're going to run, it would be nice if we could wound them somehow so that maybe they run slower the more damaged they are or perhaps leave a blood trail or something that can be tracked.

Oddly enough it seems to have rendered archery (the long distance skill) useless for hunting and made melee and unarmed the only real way to take a bear down.
