Fallout? Planescape Torment (ok, so it's D&D)?

@ Jackard - While Kefka was at least the most heinous villans ever I'll give that he was probably one of the FF6 characters lacking depth that explains his motives.

Oh ok loved Baldurs Gate 1, but it went downhill from there. I don't really know if there were good black isle games before or anything mentionable after, if you leave all those D&D based games aside. Haven't been playing rpgs for years and then H&H came along ;-)

You didn't play ShadowBane.

Started reading my rulebook again btw. Also pen and paper: paranoia>all. So funny, but out of print as well (might be just the right thing for you chak, no offense ^^). I think we might need a separate thread for this stuff.

paranoia is great shit. So is toon. What makes Mage the greatest though is a fully flexible magic system. This single greatest aspect ever to be devised in an RPG is also what kept mage #3 behind vtm & wta. It's too vague and rules lawyers and number crunchers can't adapt. Otoh, as far as I'm concerned as an ST, this is a service to the game, not a failing. =)

Fuck you all.

FF8, FF9, and FFX were the best final fantasies.
