If someone would be so kind as to update the original post:

The issue is loading male characters. The default client just crashes and wants to shut down. Ender's will at least load any female characters. EnderWiggin has posted a temp fix for his client (according to his post: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18249&start=90#p211032), which can be downloaded here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575. We are currently awaiting a more permanent solution.

(Note: haven't tried the fixed client yet, but downloading now.)

I was having the same problem.

Everytime I log into the HnH client, I automatically get kicked out, saying there's an error.

The error I recieve is:

java.lang.RuntimeException: Weird version number on gfx/hud/equip/male/kaka (1 > 0), loaded from null
at haven.Resource.load(Resource.java:129)
at haven.Session$RWorker.handlerel(Session.java:350)
at haven.Session$RWorker.getrel(Session.java:383)
at haven.Session$RWorker.run(Session.java:451)

Any help would be appreciated.

When I tried to login I would get an error message that said this. After reading through some of the problems(Or "problem") I decided to try Enders client fix. I downloaded and started using Ender's client and all was fine, until I right clicked of which then it froze(picking up a chicken). I closed the client and re-ran it and it was all fine until I right click again of which it froze again(picking up another chicken). Other than trying to do something, I can walk around just fine(So I can't really play the game like this, if you know what I mean). I hope this helps solve the problem.

Apparently the Right clicking problem was only Temporary and was solved without tampering>

Enders fix worked for me as far as logging in. Played without issue for several hours...then....FAIL. Any interaction with animals caused lock up resulting in need for restart. Restart worked fine but every interaction with animals failed. Snatching Bunny Rabbits and even firing a sling at animals.

Can't log in, same error messages as reported in previous posts. My friends aren't having any problems with logging in, but then for awhile they couldn't go upstairs or downstairs in the stone mansion(though that problem seems to be resolved now). I've created a new account in the hopes that I could play, but it freezes when I attempt to get a body from the starter area. Anxious for this to be fixed!

Dclick fast on gender selector NPC. Thus you will get female body. Male body seem to crash the client.

I've checked that thread, downloaded the client, and downloaded the updater. But there really are no instructions. In the thread he states where you can get the client/updater, the features of his client, and then he has a small section that says TROUBLESHOOTING. Which contains the below.

start "FULL PATH TO JAVAW" -Djava.library.path="PATH TO GAME FOLDER" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

Ok, I've located my javaw and set my path in the run batch file as he says. But where the fuck is the game folder? I've apparently "installed the haven and hearth client" from the PAQ page...but I don't have a game folder anywhere.

Finally clicked fast enough to not freeze up, and it took me back to login screen, error mssg says 'already logged in' . Same thing with my main account, which is why I made the alt account in the first place.
