The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

That would be quite impossible, though, since there is no way (that I can think of, at least) to map a certain position in the cave world to an entrance which leads to it.

I vote for building in cave/mines. I don't see a problem with hearthvaults in mines sounds like fun!

Hearthfires are an exception, they can't
be built in caves? *shrug* seems like an
easy solution? just warp to idol when you
step in the cave. None evil doers don't
need hearths in their house in a cave,
if you're not bad just break your HF and
warp to the idol or spawn at it when you
log *shrug*

Nah, it would uglify the code if I were to make it able to distinguish the inside of a house built in a cave from that of a house built outside a cave.

And i suppose asking for whole new types
of buildings only buildable in caves that
don't allow hearths to be built in them would
either be too much work or they'd use the
same code as the rest of the houses so it
wouldn't do anything?

Honestly, I would just like to build houses inside mines, screw the caves. It seems the problems with that come from the cave part :/

Oh yeah man, mine villages are the best.

The only problem I still see is the whole walls in caves thing and the way claims work (can't have individual stake claims as one would cover the whole mine :( )

Wouldn't that require that you also have rams in caves? Which I don't see a problem with.

Just make it possible to track inside caves as well? I don't know.
