Java error xp, can't run

the Haven client is compatible with Java 1.5, so you could try that.

V1.5 eh? I will definitely try that immediately. The results will only be apparent later though, as the server is down for maintenance currently.

OK... Idk wth i did, but uninstalling java, then running the .jnlp with no java did it... Whenever i run minecraft, it gives an error, but then continues perfectly fine anyways. idek. Loftar, thank you for the suggestion, i removed my java, but java.sun.com does NOT keep archived files easily accessible to the public, so i had to do some digging. No time lost though, as i can now run it on my xp. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong, issue solved, thank you.

So modify the .jnlp? I guess it's possible the path is different, but i installed to default location.

Also, i ran it on my mom's vista, and it works fine, but i can't be using her computer all the time.

The seemingly difficult part would be routing it to the gluegen on my computer, i guess i have to break out the ol' win32 cmd.exe coding to cd to the right path, here's hoping...

Edit: Yeah, idk, it has the proper path, but it's still screwing with me. Linked right to the java folder, but it still says the java error. >.>

FYI; My problem was caused by an improper installation of windows XP due to a failing Hard disk.
