Are you looking in /user or /user/*YourWindowsLogin*?

Hmm odd try searching for ".haven"

And if there isn't one try creating it? And then placing it inside.

Same problem by me, since I've learned several new skills today morning.
The replacing of the res files doesn't help with anything by me :<
And custom clients doesn't work by me either.

I've experienced the same error as everyone else with the Java crash. Unfortunately now that I've started up Haven and Hearth again both my characters are gone....

Your character's shouldn't be disappearing were they newly made? Or possibly even killed?

I'm not exactly sure where it is in WinXP might be better to run a search for .haven.

Make the files up to where the folder should go.

Same problem here.

Things I tried:
copying akyko's "res" folder
erasing java's cache and reinstalling HnH
erasing the seatribe certificate and reinstalling HnH
erasing the .haven folder
creating the .haven folder again (had to use cmd for this one) and copying akyko's "res"
all of the above together xD

The problem seems to be when you try to connect, since using the haven.jnpl instead of the autohaven.jnpl won't throw any errors (until you try to login)

Windows XP won't let you create a ".haven" folder (because of the starting ".").
You'll have to open a cmd (start -> run -> type "cmd" without quotes), it should open right into "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\", so just type "md .haven" ;)

Edit: I also tried deleting a "tmp" folder I found inside ".haven\cache" and it didn't work either, I'm out of triks up my sleeve =P
