Mac's new java update has screwed up the game

Okay, I'm hoping at least some of you are on macs, cause I'd really like it if we could figure out how to fix this. I just updated java to version 1.5.0_19 and now whenever I try to launch H&H from my desktop icon, the app shows up for one second on my dock and then disappears. If I try coming here and clicking the play button, the java file downloads and opens up in textedit.

I don't run a mac but I have a similar problem logging in. I can press play, a white box flashes past too quick to see and then the brown H & H colophon appears... and then nothing.

However in my case I'm on an elderly PC and usually the first time I try to log in I get in without trouble. I think -but am not sure- that the non-loading may be related to having been on recently and is the CPU usage glitch. But maybe not.

It doesn't work to use :lo because when I go in and out by that route when I come back I am moonwalking and I can only click on anything if both it and my character are stationary.

I do not seem to have this problem on my MacBook, however it could potentially be because I'm not actually using the stock version of Java (I've manually installed 1.6). I'm not quite sure what would cause that issue though (in 1.6 the client runs fine but the :lo command kills the client).
