Game does not start

Hi, I've got such a problem:
The game does not start
Ive downloaded the latest Java - and when I try to download the client, or just press 'Play' it appears to start, but only for a second.
I only get to see the window of the game, then it disappears. And that's it. I've read the FAQ, the Forum and figured out that to play the game, I must have the latest drivers, but I'm in a such difficult situation:
I've got a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Series video card. the latest drivers for it are v.6.14.0010.7119 - ATI have stoped the development of the drivers for such video cards because they're quite old. If I download the latest ATI drivers that are available on their website, my video card does not detect them.

So, I would like to know, is it possible to play the game with such configuration?
