can't build my palisade next to the cliff

Ive tried to build a palisade next to a cliff but the character won't let me place the sign, i can place a fire building sign but not a palisade sign.
(i got the ground stone tiled, so you know:))

Hold shift while placing in order to more accurately position the corner. The reason a normal fire post fits but not a palisade post is that a palisade has a larger hitbox than the fire.

Please note before you build it that way that you will not be able to connect a slightly misaligned palisade to any other that's centered. It would have to be the same misalignment, and they're very difficult to destroy, so plan carefully.

A good way is to build a Cornerpost at the edge of cliff before u start (even if you are not starting there). This is to ensure if u are able to erect a Cornerpost sign (Do not need to put anything inside), you will be able to build the cornerpost when you wall reaches that section of cliff.

BTW, it is the West and North facing Cliff that has a problem with building right at the edge.
