Disconnecting Problem (Solved :) )

Postby ramenforbreakfast » Wed Nov 17, 2010 8:51 pm

Hi all.
I am having some trouble, I don't know if its a bug or not but anyway.
I have been using both the normal client and the gilbertus client and have the same
problems with both.
I disconnected when I teleport or enter/exit buildings, I disconnect sometimes when
logging into hearthfire, I instantly disconnect when logging into where I last was
and sometimes get stuck at a black "loading" screen. The problem got worse as mine
and my friends claim got bigger and we added more stuff. I also get disconnected when
traveling in boats on rivers and also get disconnected at certain points in the world
for no reason that I can think of. Is anyone else having a similar problem? Or can
anyone tell me what could be the cause?
Thankyou for your time and I hope I can get this solved soon!

Finchy.

I think I'm having similar problems, on the odd occasion that it actually logs in, I can play for about 5 minutes before it disconnects.
As well as when I try to log in, it comes up with "Could not connect to server" about 90% of the time.

I'm really at a loss. The game looks fun, but as I only started trying last night, I've not really been able to play it.

I see the weird connection-nuking loading bug is afoot again.

Is there anything unusual about your connection? Is it a VPN (virtual private network)?
Come back two hours earlier.

What does that mean, more precisely? Do you have CAT5 to your premises?

When I've seen this problem rearing its head previously, it's been a problem with cable or ADSL modems sucking in some unclear way. It seems that they restart themselves upon encountering large(?) UDP packets or something. I've never been able to understand why it happens, truth be told.

Yup cat5,
Would using another router solve the problem? Im going to try anyway :D
Got that problem with another game that lets my router disconnect and not even let me start the game again until i reboot my router lol

edit: it was the router - new one fixed it :)
