Wow, that's not just a dinosaur, that's a trilobite. Just out of curiosity, what model of Celeron is that?

It's the old Celeron (Pentium 3 Tualatine based) socket 370
They go from 1.0-1.4 ghz.
I've actually been meaning to pick up a 1.4 from ebay but eigh haven't needed 2.

boy been a long time since i fiddled with 370 systems :)

1.3 to 1.4 wouldn't make a difference as they have the same Cache size unless you'd grab a
a Pentium III-S (Server) which has 512 KiB and Data Prefetch
i.e.
http://ark.intel.com/de/products/27525/ ... 33-MHz-FSB

but better invest in more RAM - that would give you a real push
Kingston KVR133X64C3/512 for example (best a pair to swap completly so you don't run into compatibility problems)

What OS and what Java do you run?

ya i would upgrade ram but it's a old e machine mobo so the ram max is 512mb no room for improvement and the only reason i got it is because i picked it up out of a ditch on side of the road covered in grass and dirt was amazing it still worked and i built it a little just so it'll work for a decent internet/old game computer and it has no AGP slot lol
how much better would that sever cpu be?

almost forgot i'm running windows xp sp2 x86? watever 32 bit is called and idk how to check my runtime enviroment but i got java 7 update 10 for runescape client.

My mainboard
manufature:First international computer
Model:FW37T
chipset: intel i810E
Bios:award sofware international bios version 6.0

My Cpu
Name: intel Celeron
Code name: Tualatine
Package: Socket 370 FC-PGA2
Tech:0.13 UM
Core Volt: 1.472v
Specs:Intel Celeron CPU 1300MHz
Instructions:MMX, SSE
Core speed:1302.66MHz
Multiplier: x 13.0
Bus speed: 100.25MHz
i recently read i can overclock bus speed to 133 cuz intel locked it down 2 100 for under performance.
and wat u mean upgrade java and xp? xp runs faster without sp3 and java sucks anyways lolz not being mean just my opinion.

Wow. I think it is safe to say that you are the official record holder for the least performing computer to have run the Haven client. :)

ok - "Oslo" mobo with 810 you can only run 512 MB Ram even if you have 2 slots on mobo - so i guess it's lost money if you're trying to drop in another cpu aswell

That FIC mobos where really low end nothing for OCing

What's the BIOS ID? (the line appearing at start at the bottom (i.e. latest is 03/12/2002-I810E-ITE8712-6A69MF0HC) - press pause on keyboard to stop boot to have time to write down - boot on with enter

updates not because faster but because of safer - putting your machine on the net always contains the possibility to be missused and bringing others to risk
(i.e. botnets)
