I've noticed inventory items being briefly highlighted before, just like in the OP's pic. It's not restricted to iron ore, but I've never figured out how to purposely cause it to happen.

I think I've had it happen from time to time while rapidly putting things into or out of a chest - namely, when I used to mine in Bottleneck and you had to have a cart to make it worth the round trip. Thus stuffing ore rapidly into a chest, most likely. Pretty much just a weird display glitch as far as I know.

An item set to a hotkey will be marked by yellow shading.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I seriously had no idea you could hotkey items. Funny how you learn something new every day.

I could swear I had that happen without hotkeying it, though. Perhaps some alternate way to get it all screwy like that. Or maybe I'm just unobservant.

I completely forgot. Guess we should add some things that are actually useful to hotbelt. :)
