Claim bug?

Postby REDGrim » Mon Aug 17, 2009 3:29 pm

Well we had somebody in our settlement who had a claim protecting our stuff...and all of the sudden he decides to up and leave and took the property with him, so our Settlement's leader, Htab Doolb made a claim to replace the other claim. Then, the server died and his claim was lost, but now it's saying he still has the claim when it actually disappeared. He can't make a claim to protect our land and goods so what's wrong? I'm assuming it is a glitch because of the server crash.

Happens all the time, the "Has claim" data is saved along with the character, but the actual claim itself is stored with the map data. Since character data is saved during logout (or pressing the buy button on your statistics screen), even if the map resets, you won't be able to make a new one.

Jorb or Loftar will get to it, though I'm unsure whether you can reclaim the LP used in the claim.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I've had a claim disappear, and so has my friend, but we both got our LP back and we could make another one.
