Unlimited Fire Mach 2 (indoors)

I have experienced that, id you build a hearth fire indoors, and later Build it somewhere else, the normal fire left behind, can be relit for eternity.

Also experieced the same in a cave, the fires i lit for light, was there again when i returned the next day.

Sorry to all of you who liked and used this bug.

no. what is actually happening is the game is unloading that area before your fire burns out normally. when the server unloads the area the fire becomes unlit. thats why it happens inside caves & houses so much.

In which way did it affect you that you had to ruin everyone's game experience? What did everlasting fires even do to you?

Yes. For instance if you summon someone to their hearthfire inside a house and kill them on it, you can light the resulting pile of wood and stand there waiting for it to burn out to loot the body.
Today is a good day to die.

The fire will burn out on its own after so many uses. Each time you light it, you expend a portion of its lifespan before it turns off. The game doesn't reset its lifespan after it turns off, but if you only use them for a minute or two a day, you've got two months worth of uses in one pile.

Edit: Wow, I butchered that last sentence
