Canible Animal

While hunting I've had it happen to me where after killing an animal, if placed at the right location, the animal behind it will destroy the corpse much like a fence or a boat. This is god damn annoying. Finding a herd of 2 deer and going home with 1 is rather disappointing. Could this please be changed? Please.

Aggroed animals destroy most all objects in their path. This is the intended game function. If you're hunting deer, simply hop out of your boat and pick up / move the dead corpse before you engage the next animal. Surely you're not attacking them all at the same time, are you?

He killed a deer, then tried to kill a second. The second deer destroyed the first deer's corpse. If he was fighting them at the same time this should not be possible

I think animals should be able to walk through other animals corpses, This happened to me with a bear corpse being destroyed by a boar. It is really annoying

That's the point though. Take the whopping 2 seconds and move the first corpse before engaging combat with the 2nd, or even easier just boat a few tiles over. Aggroed animals destroy all liftable objects. This is a fact of the game. If you don't want your previous animal corpse to be destroyed by the next, then take the simple and easy steps to avoid this situation.

Just because something is in the game, does not mean that it is a good idea.

Having animals stamp their bro till it's nothing but dust is retarded. doing it in order to get to where you were standing even after you have moved to a more accessible location is unbelievable retarded.

You are suggesting that by forgetting to move the animal, you are forfeiting any sort of claim on its corpse.
It is like suggesting that when harvesting wheat, if you don't pick up the straw before you go to the next plant, you deserve to loose it.

The point is to prevent blocking animals in and getting even easier kills, like we did in world 3. As it is, they'll only do that if you block their pathing in some way, like by being in a boat in water. If you are fighting them in melee range or at the same time, they will not have to repath and destroy objects in their path. They also will not destroy objects if they are running away. Only in the circumstance that the object is potentially acting as an obstacle will they break things.

It is a minor annoyance at best and only applies if you are being super lazy.

Just so you know, you never had any claim to the corpse. A dead animal is a dead animal, whether or not you killed it or how you killed it. If it's destroyed, carved, grabbed, or ignored, it was never and will never be your claim. You can think it is but then again, you can do that with anything. This is a flaw in your logical assessment and not in the game.

actually, they don't smash boulders :P
loftar: New hair styles? Really? Seeing how Jorb never gets off his lazy ass to draw some, I almost want to add them to the game proper.

Can't they just update the game with some actual pathfinding, that would solve the issue along with making it less tedious when walking through forests.
