Barter Stand: Curiosities

Postby Makks » Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:32 pm

Hey

Some curiosities can't be set as a price for an item in a barter stand. I am not exactly sure which cuz i only tested a few.
Flotsams and enthroned frogs can't be set as a price but glimmermoss can.

I want to trade with curiosities pls

It's because barter stands code was hastily thrown together and never got redone properly, so apparently Loftar has to manually fix it for each item :(

    1. Could use more category options like Any Fish, etc.
    2. Option for setting quantity of item sold per trade
    3. A button for transferring ownership of the stand
    4. Stand owner displayed in title.
    5. Allow players to set more than one price for an item.
bugs:

    1. many items cannot be set as a price. ex. foods and most new items (coins, hempbuds, curios, sausages, boiled mussels...)
    2. the price you set remains even after removing goods, with no way to remove it

Ugh, I'd really love to see barter stands get a good overhaul. I'm a hermit with tons of excess stuff that I'd love to set up trade for. As of now I just end up throwing stuff away because I've got no room or use for it.

I guess this should be moved to C&I then huh?

I think it would be really great to have a functioning trading system since the game really pushes for finding things in game and then all of a sudden when it comes to trading, you kinda have to rely on the forums.

I don't think forum trading is overly bad, it's good to encourage noobs to use it actually. Most games the real trading is done on the forums and the newer players just squeeze along in game without knowing the real value of anything.

That being said, it would be nice if barter stands were more... flexible :/

It'd be great if barter stands were properly fixed to include all possible items.
