I did not receive any discovery LP when I found the Itsy Bitsy Spider curiosity. I'm not sure if this is a bug (no pun intended) or not.
When I'm not farming in Haven and Hearth I'm being eaten alive by zombies in Die2Nite.

Some items dont give discovery LP . Most of the curios actually dont give discovery LP.

Jorb said that the common rule is that if you discover an item that CAN be used to craft something else, then it WILL give LP. If not, then it doesnt give discovery LP. IIRC there are SOME items that can be crafted into something else but actually doesnt give LP (or maybe there were items that cant be crafted in anything else yet they give LP).

Anyway, common rule as Jorb said.

The exception is that all food gives discoveries, even if it can't be processed any further.

Yes they do. There was 1 or 2 exceptions last time I checked.
