Constantly kicked (haven.Session$MessageException)

Postby stickman » Sat May 21, 2011 1:51 am

UPDATED June 10th:

This occurs with both Ender and Default client.

What happens is i get kicked back to the login screen (sometimes the client closes out completely). When I get kicked back to the login screen my character will stay logged in until I close out the client.

This is happening on 3 computers in my house. they run XP, Vista and Windows 7. Tried using a very old ender version, updated ender and the default client. Happens on all of them.

Ran a continuous ping against the game server. Never dropped a packet.

Default error message is here:

Please help me :(

Happening now to someone else in my house now (differnt computer). i dont really play another other client. if it gets bad enough i guess i could try on default client for awhile.

someone else in my village said they have same issues. they thought it was some kinda of IP conflict which using multiple clients? they said rebooting their router stopped it

Could be a problem with your ISP.

While I swapped from HnH->Terraria I would often have my internet just disconnect randomly. After playing it for a while and coming back to HnH it did the same, often. A router reboot and it stopped though.

(Didn't you run into a similar problem in W3 actually?)

This is differnet, that was one of the major canadian ISPs having routing issues. my brother who plays beside me will not get kicked. anyway after reseting router it hasn't happened again. so i guess this is closed

That is extremely weird. Message type 3 is the heartbeats that the clients send to the server to keep the connection alive; the server never send them to the clients.

I'm guessing you're having some weird case of bad NAT router or somesuch, which reflects packages by one client back to another.
