cant build log cabin or timber house

Im new to the game and I recently got carpentry to start building a timber house. Well, i went to "Build" and I didn't see anything that had to do with buildings or such. I looked everywhere, but no buildings. So i tried learning new skills thinking the cabin or house needed one or more skill(s) to aquire the building option, still the same. Being the noob I am, I decided to check out the site's wiki. And according to the wiki, it said, the only required skill is carpentry. So Im not sure if it's a bug, the wiki is wrong, or just a noobie mistake. Cheers.

no bugs, please search before posting, in order to build or craft something you MUST "discover" the materials needed to the construction or crafting, if you want a stone axe you need to discover stones and branches first, i guess that is your problem.

im having the same problem only with bottles i have checked the wiki and all i need is wine making and glass making and i have the glass and kiln i did everything my self and it still doesent show it can anyone help?

for wine bottles and glasses you need to discover wine. Beer might work too, I haven't made that myself yet.

Nope. Has to be wine. You can't discover beer until you can put it in a bottle or a stein.

Don´t trust the Wiki, it usually Lies, in w5 for p Much EVERYTHING you have to discover the "base" of it, you want a house, you need to know how to make boards, but wait, for boards you need to know how to make Saws,Oh and for saws you need to *know how to kill an animal*, its a Chain and you need the everything before something to get to that point, just use the common sense and discover

Failure to read the two very useful instruction manuals/guides in the "How Do I?" section will usually produce this result. Best to just direct people with these sorts of problems there.
