Planting Pot disappearance

I was kicked while I was planting a tree (had it already on my mouse) and when I logged in the tree was planted but the pot was neither in my inventory nor the ground.

I assume objects that are in your hand when you are logged off are deleted instead of added to your inventory or the ground.

Yes, they're gone, this happened to me on the old map while holding a B12.
