Cannot expand Staked Claim

I staked a claim like twenty minutes ago, and I have the 5x5 staked claim.
Now I can't expand it, at all. Is there a button I'm supposed to hold while having the selected area green? Ctrl and Shift don't work while left clicking or right clicking anywhere, and I dont know what im supposed to do. I open the Character Sheet and there's a Buy option, but that wont work either! I'm using Ender's client, would that make a difference?

Right click the claim totem to bring up the expansion menu. And make sure you're using the latest ender's, the older one has a bug with the land management menu.

thats what i'm doing, and i downloaded ender a few days ago so im pretty sure its the newest one
the Land Management only shows the land im selected, like a 5x1 area, nothing else :/

Edit: Nevermind, There was a separate file i needed to download, sorry for wasting fourm space :/

thats a bug in the client from him that pops up once and a wile the only way to fix it is to redownload the full client i had that same happen a few days ago from the one that was just downloaded like 3 days before but redownloading fixed it

It was a one-time deal. However, he hasn't updated the core download with the fix, so every time someone downloads the client and doesn't get the latest update, they come here wondering what the problem is. (Some people are able to search out the solution, others aren't. I'm one of those whose search-fu sucks.)
