Could not connect to server error

Hi I just downloaded and installed the software today. At the login screen it goes through the motions and then when it gets to 'connecting...' it goes back to the login and says 'could not connect to server error' in red.

I downloaded the CCLauncher and ran that thinking that may be a fix but still nothing...

Any ideas??

the server is down for maintenance, look at the bottom of your home page

Check the home page and find out why. Always check the home page first.

The server is shut down. Look at the home page it will say whether or not the server is up, and right now the server is down.
