(Server Lag) Warping and Gen Game lag

Yesterday they took the server down after hrs of Unholy lag and clicking on something to build /work / harvest and it taken a full Min at times to unstick and work again. After the server came back up the game was running so amazing I was having a blast. Now its doing it again, taking upwords to 35 40 secs for any action to complaet. It is my hope this gets sorted soon. (yeah I read about how it used to be)

Welcome to the weekends (well, and pretty much any time during the week) when asshats spam so much crap it makes the game unplayable. However, it's entirely possible loftar is taking a bit of free time to try and tweak the server for some better performance and that usually means running extra software to figure out where problems are, which also means everything runs even slower.

Truly this is a good game, But whats killing it for me, is the server can't handle the little bit of people that are playing it, You can't hunt, unless u can 1 shot skill things. yeah I enjoy the sand box of building from notting and going from there. What gets me is the higher level Players who come and just kill the new people for there stone axe ? (nope I dont steal to make people mad) Really do they have notting better to do. Anyways Me my kids and a few frinds are all working together to try and play, but the 10 to 30 second delays on actions is killing it. I do hope there is light at the end of the tunnal. Cheers all, just my thoughts.

It's not the number of people. The population has exceeded 1500 people online at once. It's the number of asshats trying to crash the server so they don't get raided or lag their oppenents out of the game so they don't face opposition. Also, I seem to see loftar mentioning running profilers on IRC, which I can only assume means a lot of experimentation with the server so that (hopefully) things can get fixed and they don't show up in Salem.

Play with it or don't play with it. Just don't come to the forums crying about the lag unless it's nearly shutting the game down. All the information says this is a free game perpetually staying in an "alpha" state and is here for the dev's entertainment. If you can't accept that, the door is over there.

I've been in game all day, haven't noticed a second of lag. Must be on your end chief.

Ouh Ouch.... Crying ? naw don't do it much any more. I am one of the older players at the age of 48, Yes i do know its free, granted i do donate on good games like this. But thats my choice, I would like to see it continue to be here, so I do donate. As for the profilers being run, that could be causeing it. I have been on all day, it comes and gos. (lag spikes) I am from the US , in Calif so that might have soemthing to do with it.
